What engines will fit in my 1997 honda accord?

I have a '97 accord w/ 2.2 4 cylinder and 5 speed tranny.. My father owns a repair shop and i work there.. An older guy came in with this accord saying "its getting hot" turned out the head was cracked and the owner said "I bought this car brand new and always took care of it, but I dont wanna put the money into fixin it." So I bought the car from him for $200, I was gonna buy a cylinder head and put it all together but decided there is no way to determine how hot he got the motor..:( Now im gonna replace the 2.2 engine (I am normally a Chevy smallblock kinda guy, 91 caprice w/ 1968 350 ci 700r4 lower gears etc etc) So i LOVE power but dont like spending lots of money LOL! I was thinking maybe a V6 outta an Acura or something on that line..? Any info would be very appreciated, The accord is extremely immaculate for a '97, I live in NW wisconsin and this car has ZERO rust and no dents/scratches anywhere.. Sorry for going on and on, what engines will bolt in the '97 accord and to the 5 speed transmission and work with the stock wire harness?
