What are some medical degrees that are a little lower than a M.D. or General Practitioner?

I believe what you may be interested in is CERTIFIED NURSE PRACTITIONER. Basically, it is a nursing degree taken up a notch. You are then qualified to exam patients especially for follow-ups and treat them under the supervision of the attending physician. You do not want to be a physician assistant since you do not require college for that position. You would simply do weight, temperatures, blood pressures, and menial things the doctor would not want to take the time to do.
