EMERGENCY ROAD HELP for a chevy caprice?

Make sure the belt is on correctly, there should be a belt diagram under the hood. I have heard of belts put on wrong turning the water pump the wrong way will not work. Could also have a headgasket problem. I have also seen thermostats put in upside down and defective thermostats.
