Before buying ANY bike, look into what you will have to pay for insurance for that specific model. Since you have dirt-riding experience, but no experience on the street, look at the 500 or 650cc twins made by Suzuki or Kawasaki. Buying used is a good idea, since many new riders drop their first bike.
